Kyesam's Research Interests
I am conducting two different studies. One is to use fMRI data from a working memory task to track effective connectivity and see the degeneracy (or phenotype) of the effective causal network during the memory task. Our team estimated the resting-state effective connectivity of the same participants as well as the reconfiguration of connectivity across brain regions, thereby finding a correlation between response time and degree of reconfiguration. Another is to build a model of the thalamocortical circuit of rodent barrel cortex and verify its validity based on electrophysiology, optogenetics, and fMRI data. At the same time, I am developing a framework for a software, also known as the animal MNET, to analyze related data.
